Ten Ways to Say I Love You

Valentine’s Days is one of the most important holidays for couples. Couples all over are trying to find the most creative gifts they can find for their mate without breaking the bank. Here are a few economical ways to say “I love you” on Valentine’s Day.

10. Purchase some clear red balloons. Before blowing them up, place either wrapped candies, small gifts, and/or love poems inside each one, and then give them to your loved one as a bouquet.

9. Make a meal only out of heart‐shaped items, foods that are red, or both. Try red velvet cake, valentinimartini, or fruit and cheese salad

8. Write a love letter to say I love you.

7. Create handmade coupons with gifts your partner can use anytime, such as a massage or a night out on the town with

friends.

6. Does your partner ever ask you why you love them? Then create your own little booklet using dollar store items just for

them entitled, "Why I Love You: # Reasons".

5. Grab some construction paper and cut out as many hearts as you like. On each one, share a story about your relationship

that shows how much you care. Once finished, take the hearts and string them individually from the ceiling so it looks like

your home is raining love.

4. Check your local florist or grocery store for rose petals, typically these are free or for a very minimal fee. You can set a romantic evening by making a trail of rose petals on the floor to a picnic in the living room.

3. Book a Couples Masage with Masage Medicine at The Eastland Park Hotel.

PORTLAND MUSEUM OF ART CELEBRATES
YOUTH ART MONTH WITH STUDENT EXHIBITION
(Portland, Maine) In celebration of National Youth Art Month during the month of March, the Portland Museum of Art, in collaboration with the Maine Art Education Association (MAEA), has organized an exhibition of artwork created by Maine art students. This year celebrates the 30th anniversary of Youth Art Month Exhibitions in Maine, and the 16th annual exhibition at the Museum. The Museum’s exhibition, running from February 27 through April 4, 2010, will showcase more than 100 works of art by students throughout the state, from elementary school through high school. All participating students will receive certificates of recognition. An exhibition celebration will be held at the Museum on Saturday, March 6, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Admission is free to the public and refreshments will be served.
National Youth Art Month is an annual observance each March to emphasize the value of art education and to encourage public support for quality school art programs. The focus of this month is to convey to the public that art education develops self-discipline, self-esteem, and a sense of pride in self-expression. Youth Art Month has been observed nationally since 1961, and on the state level, sponsored by the Maine Art Education Association, since 1980.
